Dark Oak Character in a Herringbone Format
KRONOTEX Calais Oak D4766 combines the visual depth of a dark oak decor with the structured geometry of herringbone flooring. The colour palette blends rich brown shades with smoky anthracite and near-black accents, creating a warm but dramatic foundation for contemporary, industrial and classic interiors.
The decor uses a 1-strip format with an ER embossed-in-register surface, meaning the texture follows the visible direction of the wood grain. A V4 bevel surrounds the boards and helps define the individual elements after installation. The resulting floor has more depth and definition than a plain, square-edged laminate surface.
Calais Oak belongs to the KRONOTEX Herringbone collection. Its 665 × 133 mm boards are installed in a right-angled herringbone arrangement using a floating click system. The 8 mm construction and Class 32 / AC4 rating make it suitable for everyday residential interiors and medium-use commercial environments. Potential applications include living rooms, dining spaces, bedrooms, hallways, boutique offices and selected retail or hospitality areas.
Herringbone layouts require more careful setting-out than conventional straight planks. The subfloor should be dry, stable and accurately level before installation. For larger homes and commercial projects, professional installation is recommended to maintain consistent alignment and perimeter spacing. Compatible underlay, moisture protection and underfloor-heating requirements should be selected for the specific UAE site conditions.
For routine care, remove loose dust with a hard-floor vacuum attachment and clean using a well-wrung, slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking the floor and do not apply wax, polish or cleaning products that leave a surface film
